The eCandidat campaign of UPEC for the academic year 2026-2027 opened on February 17, 2026. Successfully registering on eCandidat Créteil is not just about filling out a form: each technical step, from account creation to wish confirmation, has pitfalls that the official documentation does not always detail.
eCandidat UPEC Identifiers: exact format and common input errors
The format of the identifier is the first point of blockage. Candidates admitted via eCandidat must enter the prefix EC followed by their eCandidat number, which corresponds to the “Code OPI” visible in the confirmed application file. The default password remains the date of birth in the format DDMMYYYY.
We observe that the majority of login failures stem from confusion between prefixes. A candidate who went through Parcoursup uses P25 (followed by the 7-digit number), P250 (6 digits), or P2500 (5 digits). Those who applied via MonMaster use M5. Mixing these prefixes blocks access without an explicit error message.
The email address associated with the account is the one used during the application on eCandidat. In case of loss of the activation code, a recovery procedure exists directly from the login screen (tab “I lost my activation code”). Before contacting support, we recommend checking the case of characters, the presence of numbers, and the absence of stray spaces in the identifier.
To understand the overall functioning of the UPEC Créteil eCandidat platform, it is necessary to distinguish two phases: the application (submission of the file, confirmation of the wish) and the subsequent administrative registration, once admission is granted.
eCandidat account creation: activation and actual deadlines
An external candidate to UPEC must create an eCandidat account from the page candidatures.u-pec.fr. Account activation is done through a link sent to the provided email address. This link has a limited validity period.
Always check your spam folder in your email. University domains often send automatic emails that are filtered by public email services. If the activation link expires, the “I lost my activation code” procedure allows you to resend it.
Students already enrolled at UPEC for the current year do not need to create a new account. They log in with their usual eCampus identifiers (format U21600000). The platform then redirects them to the internal training offer.
Documents to prepare before submitting the application
Even before accessing the training offer, we recommend preparing all supporting documents in digital format. Accepted formats and maximum file sizes vary by program, but the general rule is to scan in PDF, with sufficient resolution for the text to remain readable.
- Transcripts from previous years, including the high school diploma or its foreign equivalent
- Valid identification (national identity card or passport)
- Cover letter and CV tailored to the targeted program, as each component of UPEC may require specific criteria
- French language proficiency certificate for international candidates (TCF, DELF B2 minimum depending on the fields)
UPEC eCandidat Calendar 2026-2027: dates and online/in-person delays
Application periods differ by program. To check the opening and closing dates for a specific program, you must access the “Training Offer” tab on the platform. Each program displays its own application windows.
Administrative registrations online resume on August 20, 2026, at 9 AM, while in-person procedures at the counters do not restart until September 1 at 10 AM. This delay of more than ten days clearly benefits candidates who finalize their files online as soon as reopening occurs.
Candidates who cannot register online (foreign students who went through Campus France, former UPEC students not enrolled in 2025-2026, candidates without an INE number) must wait for the counters to open or proceed by mail. Contacting the administration of the targeted program remains the most reliable way to obtain a personalized registration link.
Administrative registration after eCandidat admission: pitfalls to avoid
Admission on eCandidat does not equate to registration. Admission not followed by administrative registration within the deadlines results in the loss of the place. The administrative registration procedure takes place on a separate portal, accessible from eCampus.
The transition from eCandidat to administrative registration requires that the candidate has their Code OPI (prefixed EC) and the email address used during the application. Any change of email address between the application and registration can cause a blockage that only the registration support can resolve.
Audiences directed towards in-person or mail
Some profiles cannot finalize registration online, even after admission via eCandidat:
- Holders of a foreign high school diploma who have submitted a prior admission request (DAP)
- International candidates who went through the “Studies in France” procedure of Campus France
- Students without an INE number, who must appear in person to create their national identifier
For these profiles, contacting the program administration before September 1 allows for anticipating the additional required documents and avoiding unnecessary trips to the counter.
The point that separates calm candidates from those in difficulty remains the rigor in following emails. Each eCandidat notification (favorable notice, request for additional documents, reminder) arrives only at the address declared during account creation. A missed email can be enough to let a response deadline expire, with no possibility of automatic recourse.
